BGC JUNIOR GOLF
We have an ambition to be one of the leading Junior Sections in the North West. To do that we want to have a thriving Junior Section with girls and boys of all abilities playing regularly and representing the Club in regional and national competitions.
In the early Spring we host regular Texas Scramble competitions for our juniors. We then progress to meeting up twice a month alternating between Saturdays and Sundays with our juniors competing for prizes over 9 - 18 holes depending on their age and ability.
Our juniors play in inter-club matches as well as participating in the Lancashire Junior Coaching Programme and the BGA Junior Series. Many of our juniors also represent their schools and play in Junior Opens at other local and regional Clubs.
We have a close collaborative relationship with our Club Professional, Matt Galley, and his coaching team, Gareth Couzens and Dan Williams, who run regular group coaching sessions for beginners looking to get into the game and for more experienced palyers too.
