Weekly competitions are held on Tuesdays and some Sundays and, in addition, many players compete in town, county and national events. We also have weekly roll-ups on Thursdays and frequent friendly matches with local clubs. Once a month on Friday evenings in the summer we hold a most enjoyable mixed foursomes followed by an evening meal, which provides a great opportunity to meet other members.
Regular bridge events and other social activities, including theatre visits, are organised during the winter months.
We welcome new members, both playing and social, and encourage them to join us for lunch, helping them to integrate into the life of our club.
Throughout the season we hold a number of competitions with a meal afterwards. In the summer months we play 16 friendly matches against local clubs. Everyone is welcome to the 9 o'clockers roll ups on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, together with a Wednesday afternoon. We also have an away day, a senior's championship, a mixed dinner, a seniors' dinner and a cakewalk.
We aim to make everyone feel at home in the senior section and encourage you to join in all golfing events whatever your handicap.
I look forward to seeing you on the first tee.
