Visiting Society Guidance Notes
The Organiser of the Society/Party is requested to bring the following conditions relating to visiting parties to the attention of all the guests. We hope that this will ensure that you have an enjoyable and trouble free day.
- All playing visitors are expected to be members of a recognised golf club or golf society and
- Be in possession of a valid handicap.
- Unless otherwise arranged, play shall be from the yellow markers (Gents), red markers (Ladies)
- Two ball, three ball or fourball betterball are the only formats allowed.
- Texas Scrambles & play in four balls marking individual cards will not be permitted.
- The first tee is closed on weekdays to visitors at the following times:
Summer Until 9.30 am, Winter Until 9.30 am and 12.00 - 1.30pm After 4 pm (unless with a member or by prior arrangement)
- The tee reservation times given must be strictly observed.
- All visitors (in the case of a society - the organiser) must sign the visitors book in the Professional's Shop, and give him a list of names of members of the party. The appropriate green fee should be paid to the Professional or Secretary before commencement of play. Visitors will be admitted from outside the Clubhouse to the Locker Room on application to the Professional's Shop. Non playing visitors must sign the visitors book in the Clubhouse.
- Etiquette
(a) Call through faster players at all times. (b) Do not putt out if you are unable to win the hole in match play or score points in stableford play.
- Care of the Course
(a) Please replace divots, rake bunkers and repair pitch marks on greens. (b) Only wide wheeled trolleys may be used. (c) The use of 'Soft Spikes' in golf shoes is preferred.
- Insurance
It is recommended that members and visitors take out insurance to cover personal liability and personal accident. Please observe paths and signs around greens. Visitors are asked to take care of their property, un-attended golf equipment should not be left outside the Clubhouse for long periods, the club will not be liable should any loss of property occur.
- Dress
Jeans, shirts without collars or sleeves, training or track shoes must not be worn on the Course or in the Clubhouse. Only tailored shorts are permitted on the Course if worn with sports socks. Trousers must not be worn tucked into socks unless so designed. The Professional Staff have instructions to refuse to admit anyone not conforming to these rules.
- The use of Mobile Phones is not allowed in the Clubhouse or on the Course.
- We are supporters of the disabled, but have limited facilities available. If you have any requirements please inform us and we will endeavor to take reasonable steps to assist.
- The Clubhouse will normally close at 11.00 pm.
JACKETS AND TIES MUST BE WORN IN THE DINING ROOM AND GENTLEMEN’S BAR AFTER 7.00 PM.
SMART CASUAL WEAR IS ACCEPTABLE AT ALL TIMES IN THE MIXED LOUNGE. |
